Lytle won the last time they faced John F. Kennedy and things went their way on Friday too. The Pirates narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Rockets 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pirates have posted since October 8, 2024.

Several Rockets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Makalya Aragon, who had ten digs and two aces. Julianne Sanchez was another key player, getting seven digs, six kills, and one block.

The win got Lytle back to even at 2-2. As for John F. Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Coincidentally, Lytle and John F. Kennedy will both be playing Randolph the next time they take the court. The Pirates will head out to face the Ro-Hawks at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Rockets will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
