Football Game Preview: Ganado Hornets vs. Chinle Wildcats

The Ganado Hornets will venture away from home to take on the Chinle Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Ganado 13.8, Chinle 14.7) so any points scored will be well earned.

Ganado will bounce into Friday's game after beating Monument Valley, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Hornets really took it to the Mustangs for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-14 victory. With the Hornets ahead 35-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Chinle hadn't done well against Winslow recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 22-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on four straight.

Chinle's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Ganado, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Ganado couldn't quite finish off Chinle in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 and fell 24-22. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
