Baseball Recap: Loyal's Undefeated Season over After 13 Games

If Loyal was feeling good fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Spencer on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Greyhounds came up short against the Pittsville Panthers on Friday, falling 9-2. The match marked the Greyhounds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Loyal saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rhett Lamovec, who went 1-for-4 with one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, Loyal fell to 12-1. As for Pittsville, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.

Coincidentally, Loyal and Pittsville will both be playing Marathon the next time they take the field. The Greyhounds will host the Red Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Panthers will host them at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
