Softball Recap: Muir's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

Muir has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.67 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Upland Highlanders/Scots. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Muir saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Perez, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

With the defeat, Muir broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.5 runs. As for Upland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Muir will host Mark Keppel at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Upland, they will challenge Crescenta Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
