CHILLICOTHE, Ohio -
Westfall (Williamsport, Ohio) will rue a missed two-point conversation against
Unioto (Chillicothe, Ohio), as provided the difference in a 34-32 defeat.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown, the Mustangs went into halftime with a 26-14 lead. The Shermans took the lead to win the game on a touchdown run by
Erique Hosley in the third quarter.
Unioto was able to dig itself out of a 20-point hole en route to the upset of Westfall.
The victory was a completely different match up compared to last season's game between these two teams, which WHS took, 34-2.
The loss comes after Westfall defeated Piketon 18-14 last week. The win was a nice bounce back for UHS, which lost to Southeastern last week, 41-31. The loss ended Westfall's two-game winning streak. The victory ended Unioto's two-game losing streak.
Unioto (2-4) will play a Scioto Valley game against Huntington next week, while Westfall (2-4) will take on Paint Valley also in a Scioto Valley game.
