Spencerport gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Penfield Patriots 2-1. For Spencerport, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win Penfield walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Penfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spencerport will face off against Irondequoit at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Penfield, they will head out to take on Webster Schroeder at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
