Parkersburg Catholic is 1-9 against Ritchie County since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders will head out on the road to face off against the Ritchie County Rebels at 7:30 p.m. Parkersburg Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season.

Parkersburg Catholic's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Leonardo DeAngelo, who posted 14 points, and Preston Randolph, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 15 points. The dominant performance also gave Randolph a new career-high in shooting accuracy (71%). Another player making a difference was Branson Lott, who earned five points.
Meanwhile, Ritchie County had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 51-44. 51 seems to be a good number for the Rebels as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Parkersburg Catholic better keep an eye on Isaac Hodges. He was instrumental in Ritchie County's win, dropping a double-double with 32 points and 11 rebounds. The game was Hodges' 27th in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Flesher, who scored six points along with nine boards and six assists.
Parkersburg Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Ritchie County, their record is now 11-6.
Tuesday's match will pit two of the most dominant forwards against one another: Randolph and Hodges. Randolph has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 12.9 points, 2.6 steals, and 5.1 rebounds. For his part, Hodges has averaged 23.6 points, 2.7 blocks, and 2.8 steals on 53.1% shooting.
Parkersburg Catholic suffered a grim 70-50 defeat to Ritchie County when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hodges, who dropped a double-double with 36 points and 16 boards.
