With a playoff win on the line, St. Thomas More rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against the South Lafourche Tarpons as they made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their 16th in a row.
Morgan Dunn paced St. Thomas More's offense, picking up 13 kills. Dunn got some help from Audrey Wheeler and her 23 assists. Marvel Potier and Clare Thomson kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.
St. Thomas More's victory bumped their record up to 41-6. As for South Lafourche, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight matches and leaves them with a 32-9 record.
St. Thomas More wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against St. Scholastica on the 15th. South Lafourche does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
