Weiser waltzed into their matchup  on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Fruitland Grizzlies  a   12-0 shutout. 12 seems to be a good number for the Wolverines as the  team scooped up a  win with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
 Madi Janicek was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those  three  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Weiser let  Ali Navarrete and  Bennett Torres run wild. Navarrete  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4, while  Torres  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most  runs  Torres has posted since back in April of 2024.  Taylor Mordhorst also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
 Weiser  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 16  hits. They are  a perfect 8-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Weiser pushed their record up to 9-2 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Fruitland,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-9.
 Weiser wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  an  8-1  victory against Baker on the 11th. As for Fruitland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  an  18-0  defeat against New Plymouth on the 12th.
