Softball Recap: Lake View Takes a Loss

After flying high against Estacado last Tuesday, Lake View came back down to earth. The Chiefs/Maidens lost 11-1 to the Levelland Lobos on Friday. The Chiefs/Maidens have struggled against the Lobos recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Lake View's loss dropped their record down to 12-12-1. As for Levelland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-3-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lake View will take on rival Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Levelland is set to face off against their familiar foe Estacado at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Lobos' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Matadors have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
