After a string of five wins, Worthington Kilbourne's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Big Walnut Golden Eagles 52-21. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 49th).

Worthington Kilbourne's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Audrey Bennett, who posted four points. Bennett has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Worthington Kilbourne's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5. As for Big Walnut, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
