Baseball Recap: Santa Rita Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Santa Rita came up short against Desert Christian, falling 19-2. Santa Rita hasn't had much luck with Desert Christian recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Santa Rita saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emmeric Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Santa Rita's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Desert Christian, they moved to 3-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
