Baseball Recap: Smithville Triumphs

While Smithville didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-15-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Jefferson Mustangs by a score of 7-4 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Smithville's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Jefferson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Smithville will welcome Gonzales at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson, they have already played their next matchup, a 12-3 defeat against TMI-Episcopal on the 8th.
