Basketball Game Preview: Claremont Wolfpack vs. Mary Star of the Sea Stars

The Claremont Wolfpack will take on the Mary Star of the Sea Stars at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Claremont has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Mary Star of the Sea will arrive with five straight wins.

Last Thursday, Claremont came up short against Diamond Bar and fell 64-55.

With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Dominic Xatruch, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Mary Star of the Sea didn't have too much trouble with Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary on Friday as they won 58-39.

Mary Star of the Sea has also been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Claremont, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.
