Baseball Recap: Lewisburg Wins Going Away Against Milton

Lewisburg's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Milton Black Panthers 12-2. The victory continues a trend for the Green Dragons in their matchups with the Black Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Cohen Hoover made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Lewisburg's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 1-8-1 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Garret Glathar was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Carter, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Lewisburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.

Lewisburg picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-9-1. As for Milton, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Lewisburg has already played their next game (against Midd-West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Milton, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-0 defeat against Montoursville on the 30th.
