Game recap: Notre Dame falls to Alemany after giving lead up late

Alemany (Mission Hills, Calif.) grabbed the lead when Devon Dunn ran for a touchdown with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to beat Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) 49-42 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured four lead swaps.

The teams went into the locker room at halftime deadlocked at 28. The Warriors took the lead for good on a touchdown run by Dunn in the fourth quarter.

Khalfani Muhammad played well for the Knights. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns and caught one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to seven on the year.

Deshone Randall was the top performer for Alemany. The senior ran for four touchdowns.

Notre Dame came in surrendering 13.7 points per game this season.

A 21-14 Alemany victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.



With the win the Mission Hills school extended its winning streak to three games.

Alemany (6-1) will play a Serra game against Bishop Amat next week, while Notre Dame (4-3) will take on Crespi also in a Serra game.
