Basketball Recap: Catholic Falls Short Against Ranked Central

On Tuesday, Catholic faced Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Catholic Bears fell to the Central Wildcats 57-51. The Bears have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 27-3. As for Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-5.

Looking ahead, Catholic will head out on the road to square off against Scotlandville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central, they will challenge Liberty Magnet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Magnet will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Central surely won't give up without a fight.
