Softball Recap: Cox Mill Comes Up Short

Cox Mill managed to slip by Concord the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Chargers lost 16-1 to the Spiders on Thursday. The Chargers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Cox Mill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Concord, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cox Mill will head out to square off against South Iredell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Concord, they will head out on the road to face off against South Rowan at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
