Softball Recap: Middletown Wins Going Away Against Harrisburg

Middletown had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Harrisburg Cougars 21-2. That 19 run margin sets a new team best for the Blue Raiders this season.

Kenadee Hileman made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hileman was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Middletown got a massive performance out of Journee Stover, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Stover is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Maci Shutt, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3.

Middletown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .730. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Middletown now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Harrisburg, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coming up, Middletown will welcome Camp Hill at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harrisburg, they will face off against Susquehanna Township at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
