Volleyball Recap: Goodpasture Christian Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Goodpasture Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Franklin Road Academy Panthers on Tuesday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While Goodpasture Christian ultimately came up short, they really made Franklin Road Academy work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-24, 25-18.

Franklin Road Academy was led to victory by Savannah Sullivan and Cheyann Franklin. Sullivan had 11 digs, while Franklin had eight digs and two aces. That's the most digs Franklin has posted since back in September of 2024.

The victory got Franklin Road Academy back to even at 1-1.

Goodpasture Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Clarksville Academy on the 21st. As for Franklin Road Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Middle Tennessee Christian on the 21st.
