Basketball Recap: Mohave Takes a Loss

Mohave lost against Flagstaff on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mohave Thunderbirds were outmatched by the Flagstaff Eagles and fell 59-17. The Thunderbirds' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

Mohave's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Flagstaff, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mohave will head out to challenge Coconino at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mohave is facing Coconino at the right time seeing as Coconino is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Flagstaff, they are taking a road trip to face off against Mingus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Flagstaff knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Mingus likes a good challenge.
