Softball Recap: Union Takes a Loss

Union made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Westfield, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Farmers fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 6-4 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Farmers of the 17-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Union and nudges their season record down to 7-7. As for Westfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union will welcome Delaware Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westfield, they will face off against Bridgewater-Raritan at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
