Preview: Steele Canyon vs. West Hills
Steele Canyon has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge West Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.
Last Thursday, Steele Canyon kept a clean sheet against Grossmont. They beat Grossmont by a goal, winning 1-0. The win was just what Steele Canyon needed coming off of a 5-1 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, West Hills has not lost a match since January 9th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Valhalla out 1-0. That's two games straight that West Hills has won by exactly a single goal.
Steele Canyon's win bumped their record up to 2-3-7. As for West Hills, they pushed their record up to 4-8-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Steele Canyon beat West Hills 5-3 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Steele Canyon since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
