Soccer Game Preview: Wayne County vs. Loretto

Wayne County is 0-10 against Loretto since April of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home pitch against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Wayne County has given up an average of 3.9 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Wayne County's offense. They lost 5-0 to Richland on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Wayne County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 287th, while Richland are ranked 125th).

Meanwhile, Loretto kept a clean sheet against Lewis County on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 5-0 win. Loretto might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by three goals or more this season.

Loretto has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 5-1-1 record this season. As for Wayne County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
