Baseball Recap: Clifton Takes a Loss

Clifton lost against Passaic County Tech back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mustangs lost 18-3 to the Bulldogs.

Clifton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tony Morales, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Nate Pendola also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Clifton's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-7. As for Passaic County Tech, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

While Clifton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
