Softball Recap: Mt. Whitney Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Mt. Whitney's offense. They fell just short of the Golden West Trailblazers by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Pioneers in their meetings with the Trailblazers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Mt. Whitney now has a losing record of 5-6-2. As for Golden West, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5-1.

Looking ahead, Mt. Whitney will face off against El Diamante at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Miners have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.73 runs per game on average), something the Pioneers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Golden West, they are taking a road trip to take on Porterville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
