Recap: Denmark-Olar Vikings vs. White Knoll Timberwolves
After a string of seven wins, the Denmark-Olar Vikings's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 65-57 to White Knoll. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Denmark-Olar came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while White Knoll is ranked 212th).
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Terrance Hinton, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Tykeen Ross was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Denmark-Olar's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for White Knoll, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-8.
Denmark-Olar will head out on the road to face off against Andrew Jackson Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Andrew Jackson Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Monday. White Knoll won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Westside at 2:30 p.m. on December 20th. One thing working in Westside's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
