Volleyball Recap: Travis Bui Key Part of Team Effort in Colts Win

James Logan's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Kennedy Titans with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won eight in a row.

James Logan walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-17.

James Logan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Travis Bui, who had ten digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Bui a new career-high in assists (22). Another player making a difference was Austin Milton, who had 20 digs and two assists.

James Logan's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Kennedy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. James Logan will square off against rival Mission San Jose at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kennedy is set to face off against their familiar foe Newark Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
