Volleyball Recap: Elyria Christian's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Elyria Christian waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Peabody-Burns Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

While Elyria Christian might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Peabody-Burns scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18.

Elyria Christian's offense was headlined by Joy Pyle and Kynli Schneider, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Laney Reiff and her 15 assists. Abigail Stone controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Elyria Christian's victory bumped their record up to 13-16. As for Peabody-Burns, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-24 record this season.

Elyria Christian has already played their next matchup, a 0-0 draw against White City on the 11th. As for Peabody-Burns, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Solomon on the 11th.
