Soccer Game Preview: Altavista vs. Surry County

The Altavista Colonels will challenge the Surry County Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Altavista is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Galileo 6-1. Considering Altavista's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Surry County kept a clean sheet against Riverheads on Thursday. They came out on top against the Gladiators by a score of 2-0. That's two games straight that Surry County have won by exactly two goals.

Christopher Williams Jr and Alexis Pereyra scored both of Surry County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Altavista has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those five matches. As for Surry County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7-3.
