Recap: Creekview Grizzlies vs. Etowah Eagles
After flying high against the Allatoona Buccaneers last Monday, the Creekview Grizzlies came back down to earth. Creekview fell to Etowah 42-36. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Creekview of the 49-46 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Creekview still got an impressive performance from Amilya Taft (sy), who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and five blocks.
Creekview's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Etowah, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Creekview will be playing at home against Woodstock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodstock will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Creekview is ranked 87th). As for Etowah, they will head out on the road to face off against Rome at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
