The matchup between the Berks Catholic Saints and the Hamburg Hawks on Friday hardly resembled the 9-0 effort from their previous meeting. Berks Catholic took down Hamburg 40-21. That's another feather in the cap for Berks Catholic, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Berks Catholic was led to victory by Michael Bradley and Connor Pennington. Bradley rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, while Pennington rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Pennington was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards. Devin Garcia and his 85 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Berks Catholic's win.
Berks Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Hamburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
