Basketball Game Preview: Barren County Trojans vs. Franklin-Simpson Wildcats

Barren County has won 13 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Franklin-Simpson has won 13 straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Barren County Trojans will host the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Saturday, Barren County was fully in charge, breezing past Monroe County 67-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Trojans have posted against the Falcons since December 10, 2021.

Meanwhile, Franklin-Simpson hadn't done well against Bowling Green recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Franklin-Simpson blew past Bowling Green 50-29. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Purples are ranked 68th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Franklin-Simpson has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.1 points per game. As for Barren County, their win bumped their record up to 20-2.
