Basketball Recap: Monte Del Sol Charter Comes Up Short

Monte Del Sol Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 45-6 loss at the hands of the Jemez Valley Warrior. The contest marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Monte Del Sol Charter saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Goksu Dolek posted two points and five steals.

Monte Del Sol Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Jemez Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Monte Del Sol Charter won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Roy Municipal School at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jemez Valley, they will challenge Laguna Acoma at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Laguna Acoma will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Jemez Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
