Baseball Recap: Country Christian Has No Trouble Against Colton

Country Christian never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They blew past the Colton Vikings 12-0. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.

Caleb Norton was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Ethan Hiebenthal was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Country Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Colton only posted an OBP of .318.

The win made it two in a row for Country Christian and bumps their season record up to 5-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Colton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Country Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
