Football Recap: Belleview's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

It's playoff time, and Belleview had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 14-6 win over the Springstead Eagles on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Rattlers as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Among those leading the charge was Hannah Mason, who threw for 194 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 65 yards on only five carries. Those 65 rushing yards gave her a new career-high. A healthy portion of Mason's aerial production (98 yards to be exact) went to Jakyra Bostick, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Belleview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Cammi Satterfield, Jordan Wehrmann, and Bella Brantley picked up one apiece.

Belleview's record is now 16-3. As for Springstead, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7.

Looking ahead, Belleview will head out to take on Seminole Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Rattlers surely won't give up without a fight. Springstead does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
