Basketball Recap: Master's Academy Takes Down Father Lopez in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Master's Academy walked away with it. They came out on top against the Father Lopez Green Wave by a score of 79-71 on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Master's Academy pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Father Lopez, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-12.

Master's Academy will square off against The First Academy on Friday. Master's Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matchups -- so hopefully The First Academy likes a good challenge. Father Lopez does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
