Georgetown Day got themselves on the board against St. Andrew's Episcopal on Friday, but St. Andrew's Episcopal never followed suit. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mighty Hoppers have posted since March 7th.

Georgetown Day has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Georgetown Day is set to square off against their familiar foe Saint James at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, St. Andrew's Episcopal will face off against rival Potomac School at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
