Baseball Recap: Foreman Takes a Loss

Foreman had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 2-5 to make it seven. They came up short against the Senn Bulldogs, falling 13-0. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Senn, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0-1. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

For Senn's part, Jack Shanley made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave Shanley a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Camilo Nicado Yelmene was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Evan Goldman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

While Foreman had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
