The Holly Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Otis Bulldogs at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Holly is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

Holly heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Saturday. They fell just short of Cheyenne Wells by a score of 5-3. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Drayden Williams was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Pizarro, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Otis didn't have quite enough to beat Haxtun on Friday and fell 7-6. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Fightin' Bulldogs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Paxton Davis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.

Otis' defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Holly, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Holly has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Otis struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Holly's way against Otis in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, as Holly made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
