Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Prep Comes Up Short

On Friday, St. Mary's Prep faced Gabriel Richard in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The St. Mary's Prep Eaglets were dealt a 60-26 defeat at the hands of the Gabriel Richard Fighting Irish. The matchup marked the Eaglets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

St. Mary's Prep's loss dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Gabriel Richard, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season.
