Baseball Recap: Hamilton Christian Takes a Loss

Hamilton Christian managed to slip by Oberlin the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors lost 8-2 to the Tigers on Tuesday. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Jake Menard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and six unearned) runs on eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

Hamilton Christian now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Oberlin, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13.

While Hamilton Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
