Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Christian Academy Falls Short of Clay City in the Playoffs

Lighthouse Christian Academy and Clay City squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Lighthouse Christian Academy had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 73-39 loss at the hands of the Clay City Eels. The Lions' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

Lighthouse Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brock Banks, who posted 21 points, and Aiden Jones, who scored nine points. What's more, Jones also posted a 75% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2024.

Lighthouse Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Clay City, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-3.

Lighthouse Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clay City, they will take on Bloomfield at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Clay City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches.
