Baseball Recap: Grasso Tech Takes a Loss

Grasso Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Old Lyme Wildcats.

Jerry Santiago was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Yankee De La Cruz-Nieves, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Grasso Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Old Lyme, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Grasso Tech is taking a road trip to square off against Parish Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Old Lyme, they will host Coginchaug Regional at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
