Oak Hill has gone 8-2 against Lewis Cass recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles will challenge the Kings at 7:00 p.m. Oak Hill is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
Oak Hill had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Northfield on Friday. The Golden Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Norsemen an 11-0 shutout. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Norsemen recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Pathie Speicher and Karsyn Wiley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Speicher didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Wiley tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Speicher has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. At bat, Speicher went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI, while Wiley went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Ry-Ry Myers and Lex Myers did most of the damage at the plate: Ry-Ry went 4-for-5 with four runs and two stolen bases, while Lex went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those four runs gave Ry-Ry a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jolee Hawkins, who went 1-for-5 with three RBI and one run.
Oak Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northfield only posted a batting average of .286.
Meanwhile, Lewis Cass didn't have quite enough to beat Maconaquah on Saturday and fell 3-2. The Kings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lewis Cass also got a good showing from Alisha Toops, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Lewis Cass saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Logan, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Oak Hill pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Lewis Cass, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Oak Hill hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .370. However, it's not like Lewis Cass struggles in that department as they've averaged .316. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
