Volleyball Recap: United Golden Eagles vs. Salem Quakers
United lost against Salem back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Quakers by a score of 2-1. The game marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
United actually scored more points across those three sets (70-64), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 14-25, 25-22.
Their offense was headlined by Maelee Smith and Kendall Erb, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Rileah Phillips and her 15 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.
Among those leading the charge was Alivia Ruth, who had 11 digs.
