Baseball Recap: Combs Takes a Loss

Combs fell victim to ALA - Queen Creek and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 13-0 to the Patriots. The loss continues a trend for the Coyotes in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost six in a row.

Combs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Coleman Biasi, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Combs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1. As for ALA - Queen Creek, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Coming up, Combs will square off against Florence at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Gophers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Coyotes' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for ALA - Queen Creek, they will challenge Flagstaff at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
