Preview: Lemoore Tigers vs. Dinuba Emperors

Lemoore and the Emperors are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Lemoore Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dinuba Emperors at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Lemoore only won by three when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 38-point they dealt the Hawks on Tuesday. Lemoore claimed a resounding 73-35 win over the Hawks on the road. That 38 point margin sets a new team best for Lemoore this season.

Lemoore's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kaden Lopes, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and five assists, and Papa Laye, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals. It was the first time this season that Laye scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Mora, who scored ten points.

Meanwhile, Dinuba entered their tilt with the Mustangs with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Dinuba strolled past the Mustangs with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 57-40. 57 seems to be a good number for Dinuba as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Lemoore has been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 19 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Dinuba, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-3.

Lemoore came up short against the Emperors when the teams last played back in January, falling 69-63. Will Lemoore have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
