Basketball Recap: Estancia Comes Up Short

Estancia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They had to suffer through a 68-31 loss at the hands of the Tucumcari Rattlers. The match marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Estancia had strong showings from Justin Rubio, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds, and Daniel Hernandez, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, Rubio is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game.

Even though they lost, Estancia smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

Estancia's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Tucumcari, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.
