Calabasas was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past the Oaks Christian Lions 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Coyotes: when they faced off against the Lions back in March, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Calabasas was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (106-101), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 26-24, 16-25, 19-25, 25-23, 15-9.

With the victory, Calabasas broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-18. As for Oaks Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calabasas will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Agoura at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Oaks Christian, they will take on Rio Mesa at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
